ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ ව්‍යවහාරික විද්‍යා පිඨයේ ක්‍රීඩා විද්‍යා අධ්‍යයනාංශය ස්ථාපනය කිරීම 2017 දෙසැම්බර් මස 07 වැනිදා ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ උපකුලපති මහාචාර්ය සම්පත් අමරතුංග මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් උදැසන 9.00 ට සිදු වූ අතර මේ අවස්ථාව සඳහා ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ ව්‍යවහාරික විද්‍යා පිඨයේ පීඨාධිපති මහාචාර්ය සුදන්ත ලියනගේ මහතා ඇතුළු සම්භාවනීය පිරිසක් සහභාගිවිය.
The opening ceremony of the novel department “Department of Sports Science” in the Faculty of Applied Sciences in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was taken place on 7th December 2017 on the auspicious time (9.00 am) with the blessings of Mahasangha. Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Prof. Sudantha Liyanage, Dean Faculty of Applied Sciences and academic members as well as non-academic members of the faculty participated in the ceremony.
